Pisa is just 15 minutes by car: the Leaning Tower, Piazza dei Miracoli, the Lungarni and university life are within easy reach for a day in the city or dinner out. Galileo Galilei Airport is equally close, making arrivals and departures effortless.
Lucca, with its Renaissance walls and Romanesque churches, is reachable in about 30 minutes. The beaches of Versilia and the Pisan coast are less than an hour away, perfect for a day by the sea.
Nature and villages on the doorstep
Monte Pisano is literally around the corner: hiking and mountain biking trails, the Certosa di Calci, the Rocca della Verruca and the Medici aqueduct are all reachable in just a few minutes. The villages of San Giuliano Terme, Vicopisano and Calci offer authenticity and tranquillity.
The San Rossore Park, with its wild beaches and protected wildlife, is less than half an hour away. Florence, Siena and the Cinque Terre make perfect day-trip destinations.
Pisa Airport in 20 minutes
Pisa Galileo Galilei International Airport is the main airport of coastal Tuscany, connected to over 100 European destinations via Ryanair, easyJet, Wizz Air and Volotea. The airport railway station also offers direct trains to Florence, Lucca and the coast.
From the airport to La Tana del Cinghiale it's about 20 minutes by car along the provincial road that skirts Monte Pisano. You can rent a car directly at the airport, or use taxis and transfer services.

La Tana del Cinghiale will open in 2027. The country house is being prepared to offer accommodation immersed in the Tuscan countryside. The apartments will be available as holiday rentals.
