San Giuliano Terme
San Giuliano Terme is the municipality that hosts La Tana del Cinghiale: situated between Pisa and Lucca, it stretches from the slopes of Monte Pisano to the Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli Park. The healing properties of its waters have been known since Etruscan and Roman times.

Bagni di Pisa and the Thermal Baths
Bagni di Pisa occupies a former Medici Grand Ducal residence that in the late 18th century became a favoured destination for European nobility. Today it is a luxury thermal resort with personalised treatments and natural hot waters between 38 and 41 degrees.
Frequented by poets Shelley and Byron and Grand Duchess Maria Luisa of Bourbon, the Baths represent one of Italian thermal wellness's finest.
Villas, nature and adventure
Noble Tuscan families built numerous residences here: Villa Corliano now hosts events and the Fondazione Cerratelli, preserving over 25,000 theatrical costumes from directors like Franco Zeffirelli. The Rocca di Ripafratta recalls the ancient feuds between Pisa and Lucca.
The Valle delle Fonti holds the 6 km Medici Aqueduct that once supplied Pisa. On Monte Castellare endemic orchids bloom and the Buca delle Fate opens — a 185-metre-deep karst grotto. Coastal winds favour paragliding, with flights reaching 800–1,500 metres.
Local flavours and traditions
The villages scattered throughout — Rigoli, Agnano, Asciano, Molina di Quosa — preserve Romanesque parish churches, traditional olive mills and an authentic atmosphere. Terraced olive groves produce high-quality extra virgin oil.
The local speciality is the Torta coi Bischeri, made with chocolate, rice, raisins and pine nuts with a fluted pastry edge. Village festivals and olive harvest celebrations mark the rhythm of the seasons.

La Tana del Cinghiale will open in 2027. The country house is being prepared to offer accommodation immersed in the Tuscan countryside. The apartments will be available as holiday rentals.
